DART LEAGUE RULES

2008

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE, AT ANY DART FUNCTION, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. ALL PLAYERS INVOLVED WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE LEAGUE.

 ALL LOCATION OWNERS, OR BARTENDERS, HAVE THE RIGHT TO TELL ANY TEAM

(INCLUDING THEIR OWN) THAT THE GAME IS TERMINATED FOR UNBECOMING BEHAVIOR.

 

RULE #1 IS ALWAYS SPORTSMANSHIP

A) OBJECTIVES:

    1. TO PROMOTE THE GAME OF DARTS ENCOURAGING SPORTSMANSHIP, GOODWILL, AND

UNITY AMONG THE PLAYERS OF THE GAME THROUGH ORGANIZED LEAGUE PLAY.

    2. TO PROVIDE RULES, METHODS, SCORING PROCEDURES AND STATICS THAT

ENHANCES THE COMPETITIVE SPIRIT THROUGH A STRUCTURED ORGANIZATION AND

MAINTAINS THE SOCIAL BENEFITS FOR FRIENDLY SPORT.

    3. TO PROVIDE A METHOD OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND GUARANTEE FOR LEAGUE FUNDS.

    4. THE RECOGNITION OF LEAGUE PERFORMANCE AND PERSONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

OF THOSE WHO SUPPORT THE LEAGUE AND ASSOCIATION THROUGH THEIR PARTICIPATION.

 

B) REGULATIONS AND RIGHTS:

    1. ESTABLISHMENTS, TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS SHALL BE ENTITLED TO THE RIGHTS

AND PRIVILEGES OF THE LEAGUE ORGANIZATION.

    2. A TEAM OR INDIVIDUAL MAY BE EXPELLED FOR UNBECOMING BEHAVIOR, POOR

SPORTSMANSHIP OR ANY OTHER REASON DETRIMENTAL TO THE LEAGUE OR

ESTABLISHMENT, BASED ON THE COLLECTIVE DECISION OF THE DART LEAGUE BOARD

MEMBERS.

    3. ESTABLISHMENTS HAVE THE FULL AUTHORITY TO ADD OR REMOVE PLAYERS

FROM THEIR TEAMS, FOR ANY OF THE REASONS LISTED ABOVE IN RULE #2. ANY PLAYER

DROPPED FROM A TEAM SHALL NOT PLAY IN THE LEAGUE FOR THE REST OF THE

SEASON. THE BOARD WILL REVIEW OTHER SITUATIONS.

    4. THE ESTABLISHMENT SHALL PROVIDE THE DART LEAGUE MACHINE AT THE DESIGNATED TIME

AND INSURE THAT IT IS 117 5/8 INCHES DIAGONALY FROM THE BULL TO THE THROW LINE.

    5. THE LEAGUE IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, ALL MONIES ARE RETURNED TO THE PLAYERS

AT THE END OF THE SEASON IN THE WAY OF TROPHIES, PINS, AWARDS BANQUET OR PRIZE MONEY.

    6. EVERY TEAM SHALL HAVE A DESIGNATED CAPTAIN. ALL CAPTAINS MUST PLAY AT

LEAST 1/2 OF THE SEASON. THE DUTIES OF THE CATAINS ARE:

      A. THE CAPTAIN SHALL BE PRESENT OR SEND AN ACTING CAPTAIN TO ALL LEAGUE

MEETINGS. THE CAPTAIN IS THE ONLY SPOKESPERSON FOR THE TEAM.

      B. THE CAPTAIN IS RESPONSIBLE TO INFORM ALL TEAM MEMBERS OF THE LEAGUE

RULES AND REGULATIONS.

      C. THE CAPTAIN SHALL PROVIDE OR MAKE SURE THAT THE LEAGUE RULES ARE

MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL TEAM MEMBERS AND ARE AT ALL THE HOME MATCHES.

      D. THE CAPTAIN IS TO PROVIDE THE LEAGUE SECRETARY WITH ALL PERTINENT

INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THEIR TEAM AND IT'S MEMBERS.

      E. CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO VALIDATE ALL SCORE SHEETS AND INSURE THAT

ALL LEAGUE MONIES ARE IN THE ENVELOPE. THECAPTAIN ON THE WINNING TEAM IS

RESPONSIBLE TO SEE THAT THE ENVELOPE IS DROPPED OFF AT ONE OF THE DROP OFF

LOCATIONS THAT NIGHT. WHOEVER FAILS TO DROP OFF THE ENVELOPE THAT NIGHT

WILL LOSE 3 OF THEIR TEAMS WINS.

      F. CAPTAINS ARE TO INSURE THAT THEIR TEAM MEMBERS FOLLOW ALL RULES AND

REGULATIONS OF THE LEAGUE.

      G. CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING APPROVAL FOR SUBS.

 

C) SCHEDULING:

    1. LEAGUES AND APPROPRIATE SCHEDULES WILL BE ESTABLISHED BY THE LEAGUE

COORDINATOR AND BE PROVIDED TO THE CAPTAINS AND LOCATIONS INVOLVED.

    2. ALL MATCHES ARE SCHEDULED TO START ON TIME (7:30 p.m.). A 15-MINUTE GRACE

PERIOD WILL BE ALLOWED BEFORE A TEAM MUST FORFEIT ANY GAMES.

   3. RESCHEDULING IS NOT PERMITTED, MATCHES MAY BE PLAYED IN ADVANCE.

BOTH CAPTAINS MUST NOTIFY LEAGUE COORDINATOR 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE

ABOUT RESCHEDULED MATCH DATE. MATCHES MUST BE PLAYED AT THE

ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED LOCATION.

 

D) FORFEITS AND BYES:

    1. ANY TEAM THAT FORFEITS 3 CONSECUTIVE LEAGUE NIGHTS WILL BE DROPPED

FROM THE LEAGUE AND FORFEITS AND CLAIM TO AWARDS OR MONIES.

    2. ANY TEAM WHO FORFEITS A LEAGUE NIGHT THE LAST 5 WEEKS OF THE SEASON

WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE LEAGUE AND FORFEIT THEIR PRIZE MONEY, AND AWARDS

AND THEIR END OF THE YEAR POSITION.

    3. IF ONE TEAM FAILS TO SHOW, A FORFEIT MUST BE DECLARED. THE TEAM CARD

FROM THE TEAM THAT IS PRESENT IS INSERTED FOR BOTH THE HOME AND VISITING

TEAMS. THE GALAXY MACHINE WILL ASK, "IS THIS A FORFEIT?" IT WILL ASK WHO IS

AUTHORIZING THE FORFEIT, AND IT GIVES YOU THE NAMES ON THE CARD AS

SELECTIONS. SELECT A NAME BY MOVING THE ARROW WITH THE SELECT BUTTON AND

PRESS ENTER. THE TIME AND DATE ARE RECORDED TO ENSURE ACCURATE RECORDS.

    4. IF ANY TEAM ARRIVES AT A MATCH WITHOUT THEIR TEAM CARD, THE

OPPOSING TEAM CAN DECLARE A FORFEIT IF THE CARD IS NOT PRODUCED BY

7:45PM.

    5. IF YOUR TEAM RECEIVES A FORFEIT, YOU WILL BE AWARDED WINS BASED ON

YOUR TEAMS WIN PERCENTAGE LISTED ON THE PREVIOUS WEEK'S SCORESHEET OR

THE MAJORITY OF THE GAMES TO BE PLAYED WHICH EVER IS HIGHER.

    6. IF A TEAM IS MISSING ONE PLAYER, THE MATCH CAN BE PLAYED. EVERYTIME THE

MISSING PLAYER IS UP, THE PLAYER CHANGE BUTTON IS FORWARDED TO THE NEXT

PLAYER. THE TEAM MUST MAKE UP THE MONEY FOR THE MISSING PLAYER. (THE ONLY

EXCEPTION TO THIS IS DURING THE LAST 5 WEEKS OF PLAY WHEN YOU MUST HAVE

4 PLAYERS PER TEAM TO PLAY A MATCH)

    7. IF A TEAM STARTS A MATCH WITH A PLAYER MISSING AND THEN A PLAYER BECOMES

AVAILABLE, THE PLAYER MAY COMPLETE THE REMAINING GAMES. IF TWO PLAYERS ARE

MISSING, THE SAME PROCEDURES APPLY. IF THREE PLAYERS, OF THE SAME TEAM ARE

MISSING, THE GAMES ARE FORFEITED.

    8. IF FOUR REGULAR PLAYERS ARE PRESENT, AT THE TIME OF THE MATCH, THEY MUST

PLAY. THEY MAY NOT HAVE A SUB PLAY FOR THEM.

    9. THE LAST 5 WEEKS YOU MUST HAVE 4 PLAYERS ON EACH TEAM TO PLAY.

    10. BYES & FORFEITS: IF YOU ARE SCHEDULED A BYE OR RECEIVE A FORFEIT, YOU

MUST FILL OUT A SCORESHEET, AND PUT IT, AND YOUR WEEKLY FEES, IN THE

ENVELOPE. DROP IT OFF AT ONE OF THE DROP OFF LOCATIONS, IN ORDER TO RECEIVE

YOUR WINS.

    11. IN A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, WHERE A PLAYER WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE IN THE

MIDDLE OF A MATCH, , THE REMAINING GAMES MUST BE RESCHEDULED. THE BOARD

MUST ALSO BE NOTIFIED.

 

E) CANCELLATIONS\POSTPONEMENTS:

    1.IT IS NOT PERMITTED TO CANCELL OR POSTPONE YOUR MATCH.

EXCEPT UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:

   INCLEMENT WEATHER WEATHER MAY CAUSE POSTPONEMENT OF AN EVENINGS MATCHES.

THIS POSTPONEMENT IS LEFT UP TO THE DICRETION OF BOTH TEAM CAPTAINS. NO

ONE IS EXPECTED TO PLAY WHEN WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY THE WEATHER

BUREAU, STATING VARIOUS CONDITIONS THAT ARE UNSUITABLE FOR DRIVING. YOU

MUST CONTACT THE LOCATION WHERE THE MATCH WAS TO BE PLAYED.

   HUGHES MUSIC MUST BE NOTIFIED THE NEXT DAY AND THE MATCH MUST BE

PLAYED BEFORE THE NEXT SCHEDULED MATCH.

    2. WEATHER CANCELLATIONS:

IF THERE IS A CANCELLATION, BY HUGHES MUSIC CO., DUE TO BAD WEATHER, YOUR

LOCATION WILL BE NOTIFIED BY 3:00 PM ON THE DAY OF THE MATCH. THE MATCH

WILL BE PUT AT THE END OF THE SCHEDULE.

 

F) THE TEAM AND SUBS:

ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 SUBS. ALL LEAGUES WILL HAVE A

PPD (POINTS PER DART) RANGE. IF YOU HAVE A SUB THAT HAS PLAYED BEFORE IN THE

LEAGUE, HIS PPD MUST FALL IN THE RANGE OF THE LEAGUE HE IS SUBBING FOR (IF HIS

PPD IS TOO HIGH FOR THAT LEAGUE) HE WILL BE CONSIDERED AN ILLEGAL SUB. THE

TEAM CAN VOTE OFF ANY PLAYER, INCLUDING THE CAPTAIN.

    1. A TEAM WILL CONSIST OR FOUR REGULAR PLAYERS. ALL LEAGUES MAY USE

FLOATING SUBS, AS LONG AS THE SUB IS LISTED AS A MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM ON THE

STANDING SHEET. TO ADD A SUB TO YOUR TEAM, YOU MUST WRITE HIS NAME AND

ADDRESS AT THE BOTTOM OR YOUR SCORESHEET TO LET US KNOW TO ADD HIM TO

YOUR TEAM.

    2. PLAYERS MAY BE ADDED TO YOUR TEAM ANYTIME, WITH APPROVAL OF THE

BOARD (EXCEPT THE LAST 4 WEEKS IN THE FALL AND IN THE SUMMER ). IF THE SUB'S

PPD IS TOO HIGH FOR THAT TEAMS AVERAGE, YOU MAY BE ASKED, BY THE BOARD, NOT

TO USE THAT SUB. IF YOU USE AN ILLEGAL SUB (ONE THAT IS NOT LISTED ON YOUR

TEAM) YOU WILL LOSE ALL WINS THAT HE PARTICIPATED IN.

   3. DURING ANY LEAGUE SEASON, A SUB MAY NOY PLAY IN A LEAGUE THAT IS

LOWER THAN THE HIGHEST LEAGUE FOR WHICH THEY WERE A SUB THAT SEASON.

      EXAMPLE: IF YOU SUB IN THE B-1 LEAGUE YOU CANNOT SUB OR PLAY FOR A

TEAM IN THE BII, C1,OR CII-LEAGUES. HOWEVER, YOU CAN SUB IN AN A-LEAGUE OR

HIGHER BUT YOU THEN WILL BE UNABLE  TO SUB IN A B-1-LEAGUE AGAIN.

    4. THE FIRST WEEK YOU USE A NEW SUB YOU MUST ENTER HIS FULL NAME.

MANUALLY ON THE DART MACHINE. IF YOU DO NOT ENTER THE FULL NAME, THE SUB

WILL BE CONSIDERED AN ILLEGAL PLAYER AND YOUR TEAM WILL LOSE ALL GAMES

THAT SUB PLAYED. IF YOU PLAN TO USE THE SUB ON A REGULAR BASIS, YOU MUST

BRING YOUR TEAM CARD TO HUGHES MUSIC AND HAVE THAT SUB ADDED TO

YOUR TEAM CARD.

    5. ALL PLAYERS AND SUBS MUST FURNISH HUGHES MUSIC CO., WITH A FULL ADDRESS

AND PHONE NUMBER.

    6. ONCE YOU HAVE BEEN A SUB AND PLAYED 1/2 OF THE SEASON FOR ONE TEAM, YOU

ARE CONSIDERED A REGULAR AND MAY NOT PLAY ON ANY OTHER TEAM.

    7. ALL PLAYERS MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.

    8. ALL TEAM ROSTERS MUST HAVE COMPLETE NAMES AND ADDRESSES TO BE

ACCEPTED. PLAYERS LISTED ON YOUR TEAM ROSTER WILL BE CONSIDERED YOUR

REGULAR PLAYERS. ANY OTHERS WILL BE SUBS, UNLESS WE ARE NOTIFIED OTHERWISE.

CAPTAIND MUST LIST THEIR PHONE NUMBER ON THE ROSTER.

    9. HUGHES MUSIC HAS THREE LEAGUES, OPEN HANDICAPPED AND MIXED. YOU MAY

BE A REGULAR PLAYER ON THE OPEN, HANDICAPPED AND MIXED LEAGUES, BUT ONLY

ON 1 TEAM ON EACH LEAGUE.

    10. IN THE OPEN LEAGUES TEAMS MAY USE NO MORE THAN TWO SUBS FOR ANY MATCH.

THERE MUST BE AT LEAST TWO REGULAR PLAYERS PARTICIPATING EACH LEAGUE NIGHT.

    11. IN THE MIXED LEAGUE YOU MUST SUB A MAN FOR A MAN OR A WOMAN FOR A

WOMAN. YOU MAY USE ONLY 1 SUB PER TEAM PER MATCH.

 

G) LEAGUE FEES:

    1. IN THE OPEN LEAGUE, PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN A MATCH WILL BE REQUIRED TO

PAY $4.00 FOR LEAGUE FEES PLUS THE QUATERS TO PLAY THE GAMES. THE FEE FOR

THE MIXED TRIPLES LEAGUE IS $4.00 FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS.

    2. THE LEAGUE FEES WILL BE DEPOSITED INTO THE HUGHES MUSIC DART LEAGUE

ACCOUNT. ALL MONIES WILL BE RETURNED TO THE PLAYERS BY WAY OF PLAYER

SANCTIONS, AWARDS, BANQUETS AND PRIZE MONEY AT THE END OF THE SEASON.

 

H) AWARD DISTRIBUTION

    1. THE LEAGUE FEES, CONTRIBUTED EACH WEEK BY THE PLAYERS, WILL PAY FOR

PLAYER SANCTIONS, TROPHIES AND THE AWARDS PARTY. THE REMAINING MONIES WILL

BE DISTRIBUTED BACK TO THE PLAYERS BASED ON A TEAMS TOTAL WINS.

EXAMPLE: A LEAGUE HAS A FUND OF $1200.00, AFTER PAYING FOR TROPHIES AND THE

AWARDS PARTY. THE TOTAL OF ALL TEAM WINS IS 240. THE FUND IS DIVIDED BY 240,

WHICH WILL EQUAL THE AMOUNT PER WIN. THE AMOUNT PER WIN IS MULTIPLIED TIMES

EACH TEAMS TOTAL SEASON WINS.

    2. IF YOU PLAY ON THE OPEN LEAGUE OR THE MIXED LEAGUE YOU MUST PLAY 1/2 OF

THE SEASON TO RECEIVE ANY TROPHIES OR PINS. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE TOP

SHOOTER AWARDS YOU MUST SHOOT AT LEAST 75% OF THE SEASON.

 

I) PENALTIES AND FINES:

    1. LATE SCORESHEETS.

LEAGUE MONEY AND SCORE SHEETS MUST BE TURNED IN, ONLY AT THE AUTHORIZED

LEAGUE DROP OFF LOCATIONS, THE SAME NIGHT OF PLAY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF

THE WINNING TEAM TO DROP THE ENVELOPE INTO THE DART MACHINE (THERE IS A

SLOT IN THE FRONT) AT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:

MURPHY'S PUB

SIDETRAX TAVERN

HUGHES MUSIC COMPANY (THERE IS A MAIL SLOT IN THE STEEL DOOR, WHERE

WHERE ENVELOPES CAN BE DROPPED BEFORE 9:00 A.M. THE NEXT DAY).

IF AN ENVELOPE IS MISSING, EACH TEAM WILL RECEIVE 13, 15, OR 17 LOSSES. WHEN THE

ENVELOPE IS TURNED IN, THE WINNING TEAM OR TEAM RESPONSIBLE, WILL LOSE 3

GAMES FOR BEING LATE. AFTER 7 DAYS, IF THE ENVELOPE IS NOT TURNED IN, THE

RESPONSIBLE TEAM WILL KEEP 13 LOSSES AND THE MONEY FOR THAT NIGHTS PLAY

WILL BE TAKEN OUT OF THEIR PRIZE MONEY.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT BOTH TEAM CAPTAINS KEEP HIS COPY OF THE SCORE SHEET. IF

THE ORIGINAL IS LOST. THE SCORES CAN BE TAKEN FROM THE CAPTAINS COPY.

    2. LOST TEAM CARDS

ANY TEAM WHO LOSES THEIR TEAM CARD WILL HAVE TO PAY $30 TO REPLACE IT

BEFORE THEY CAN PLAY ANY FURTHER MATCHES.

    3. TEAM CARDS WILL BE RETURNED TO HUGHES MUSIC AT THE AWARDS BANQUET

HELD AFTER THE END OF THE SEASON, YOU WILL NEED YOUR TEAM CARD IN

ORDER TO CLAIM YOUR TEAM'S PRIZE ENVELOPE AND AWARDS.

    4. SPORTSMANSHIP

ANY INDIVIDUAL OR TEAM THAT DESTORYS THE PROPERTY OF AN ESTABLISHMENT

OR CONDUCTS THEMSELVES IN AN ABUSIVE MANNER TO THE OPPOSING TEAM OR

PATRONS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISMISSAL FROM THE

LEAGUE.

 

J) PROTESTS

ALL PROTEST WILL COST $10.00

    1. MOST PROTEST CAN BE ALLEVIATED IF THE CAPTAINS USE COMMON SENCE.

    2. ALL PROTESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED, WITH $10.00, TO THE LEAGUE COORDINATOR

WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER THE MATCH.

    3. IF A TEAM BELIEVES THAT THEY HAVE A PROTESTABLE SITUATION DURING A

MATCH, AND CANNOT COME TO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OTHER CAPTAIN, THEY MUST

INFORM THE OTHER CAPTAIN THAT THE GAME IS UNDER PROTEST AND A PROTEST WILL

BE FILES. IF THEY WIN THE GAME, THE PROTEST IS NO LONGER VALID.

    4. IN THE EVENT OF A PROTEST, AND THE OPPOSING TEAM CAPTAIN HAS BEEN

INFORMED, DO NOT SIGN THE SCORE SHEET.

    5. IF THE PROTEST COMMITTEE FINDS IN THE FAVOR OF THE PROTESTING TEAM, THE $10.00

WILL BE RETURNED TO THEM. IF THE TEAM LOSES THE PROTEST, THE MONEY WILL STAY

IN THE LEAGUE FUNDS.

    6. THE DECISION OF THE PROTEST COMMITTEE IS FINAL AND CANNOT BE APPEALLED

TO THE LEAGUE COORDINATOR OR TO HUGHES MUSIC COMPANY.

 

K) TEAM MATCHES:

    1. ALL MATCHES WILL CONSIST OF 13 GAMES IN THE B AND C, 17 GAMES IN A, AA

AND MASTERS LEAGUES AND 15 GAMES IN THE MIXED TRIPLES.

    2. TEAMS WILL PLAY AS PARTNERS, WITH TWO MEMBERS OF EACH TEAM

PARTICIPATING IN EACH GAME. EXCLUSION TO THIS RULE IS WHEN 701 IS PLAYED, ALL 4

PLAYERS ON EACH TEAM WILL PLAY OR IN SINGLES GAMES IN THE MIXED TRIPLES.

    3. EACH TEAM WILL HAVE A CAPTAIN OR ACTING CAPTAIN AT EACH MATCH TO

COLLECT THE MONEY, ENTER THE LINE UP, TRACK TEAM WINS AND SIGN THE SCORE

SHHET AND ENVELOPE.

    4. ALL MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED ON THE ARACHNID GALAXY (TOP GUN) DART

MACHINE OR GALAXY II.

    5. MATCHES RULES OF CONDUCT

      A. DISTRACTING OTHER PLAYERS IS NOT ALLOWED NOR WILL IT BE TOLERATED.

      B. PLAYERS ARE TO BE ON THE LINE WHEN IT IS THEIR TURN TO SHOOT.

      C. COMMON SENSE AND GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP ARE TO BE USED DURING PLAY,

REGARDING ANY QUESTIONS THAT MAY OCCUR.

      D. A CAPTAIN HAS THE AUTHORITY TO ASK ANY PLAYER FOR THEIR DRIVERS

LICENSE, TO VERIFY THEIR STATUS ON THE TEAM AS A LEGAL PLAYER OR THEIR AGE. IF

THE PLAYER REFUSES, THEN THE CAPTAIN CAN ANNOUNCE THAT THE GAME WILL BE

PLAYED UNDER PROTEST.

      E. ANY TEAM THAT ACCUMULATES NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS OF DISTRACTING

OTHER PLAYERS, NOT BEING READY TO SHOOT OR ATTEMPTING TO USE ILLEGAL

PLAYERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISMISSAL FROM THE LEAGUE. THEY WILL FORFEIT

ALL CLAIMS TO AWARDS AND PRIZE MONEY.

      F. THERE IS TO BE NO PRACTICINGON EMPTY BOARDS DURING THE MATCHES,

BY LEAGUE PLAYERS. IF THERE ARE NON LEAGUE PLAYERS PLAYING ON THE FREE

BOARDS AND ARE DISTRACTING, YOU MAY ASK THAT THEY NOT DISTRACT YOU OR

WAIT UNTIL THE LEAGUE IS OVER BEFORE PLAYING.

 

L) LEAGUE SCORING:

    1. ONE OFFICIAL LEAGUE SCORE SHEET WILL BE USED FOR EACH MATCH.

    2. THE HOME TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THE SCORE SHEET.

    3. THE HOME TEAM WILL ENTER THEIR LINE UP ON THE MACHINE FIRST AND THEN

THE VISITING TEAM WILL ENTER THEIR LINE UP. BOTH TEAMS MUST ENTER THEIR

LINEUPS ON THE SPACE PROVIDED ON THE SCORESHEET. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD

RESULT IN A LOSS OF ALL GAMES WON THAT NIGHT.

    4. THE LEAGUE MATCH WILL BE PLAYED IN THE ORDER DESIGNATED BY THE

MACHINE. THE TEAMS WILL PLAY IN THE POSIYIONS DISPLAYED ON THE MACHINE.

    5. THE CAPTAINS, OR SCOREKEEPER DESIGNATED BY BOTH CAPTAINS, WILL RECORD

ALL TEAM WINS. THE DART MACHINE WILL AUTOMATICALLY TRACK ALL PLAYER

FEATS, THESE WILL COMPRISE A PLAYERS AVERAGE OR S.P.R.E. THE DART MACHINE

WILL KEEP ALL TEAM AND PLAYER SCORES, AND THERE WILL BE A SIMPLE SCORESHEET

FOR TRACKING TEAM WINS. YOUR TEAM AND LEAGUE I.D. MUST BE ON THE SCORE

SHEET AND THE ENVELOPE. THE SCORES WILL BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE DART

MACHINES VIA A MODEM AND ENTERED IN THE STANDINGS.

    6. BOTH CAPTAINS WILL SIGN THE BOTTOM OF THE SCORE SHEET.

    7. EACH CAPTAIN WILL RETAIN HIS COPY OF THE SCORE SHEET AND THE ORIGINAL

IS PLACED IN THE LEAGUE CASH COLLECTING ENVELOPE.

    8. THE WINNING TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE TO SEE THAT THE ENVELOPE IS DROPPED OFF

THAT NIGHT AT ONE OF THE DROP OFF LOCATIONS.

    9. PLAYERS STAND ON THE THROW LINE 96 INCHES FROM THE FACE OF THE DART

BOARD. IT IS LEGAL TO LEAN OVER THE LINE, BUT A PLAYER CANNOT STEP OVER IT.

    10. EACH PLAYER THROWS A MAXIMUM OF 3 DARTS PER ROUND BUT IS NOT REQUIRED

TO THROW ALL 3 DARTS EVERY ROUND.

    11. THE SCORE RECORDED BY THE MACHINE IS THE SCORE THAT THE PLAYER

RECEIVES. THE ONLY EXCEPTION WILL BE ON THE LAST OR WINNING DART.

EXAMPLE:

A PLAYER NEEDS 39 TO GO OUT. THEY SHOOT AND THE DART STICKS IN THE

TRIPLE 13, BUT THE MACHINE FAILS TO SCORE CORRECTLY. IF THE DART STICKS AND

STAYS IN THE BOARD, THE MACHINE WAS DISPLATING THE "THROW DART" MESSAGE

AND ALL THE OTHER RULES WERE FOLLOWED, THE PLAYER\TEAM SHALL BE CREDITED

WITH A WIN IN THAT GAME. THIS RULE WILL ONLY APPLY FOR A SINGLE DART, NOT FOR

A COMBINATION OF DARTS.

    12. A DART STICKS IN THE BOARD, BUT DOES NOT ACTIVATE THE BOARD,

CANNOT BE MANUALLY SCORED.

    13. IF A DART BOUNCES OFF THE BOARD, IT IS CONSIDERED A THROWN DART, EVEN IF

IT DOES NOT SCORE.

    14. IF A DART IS THROWN BEFORE THE "THROW DART" MESSAGE, THE DART IS

CONSIDERED THROWN.

    15. IF A PLAYER THROWS WHILE THE MACHINE IS DISPLAYING AN OPPONENTS

NUMBER:

      A. IF A PLAYER HAS THROWN LESS THAN 3 DARTS, THE MACHINE IS ADVANCED TO

THE CORRECT POSITION BY USE OF THE PLAYER CHANGE BUTTON AND THE PLAYER IS

ALLOWED TO THROW HIS REMAINING DARTS. THE GAME THEN PROCEEDS NORMALLY

WITH THE OPPONENT SHOOTING NEXT, AND SO ON.

EXAMPLE:

PLAYER 2 THROWS 2 DARTS ON PLAYER 3 BEFORE THE INFRACTION IS NOTICED AT

THAT POINT, THE GAME IS ADVANCED TO PLAYER 2. PLAYER 2 NOW THROWS HIS

THIRD DART (ALLOWING HIM ONLY 1 DART ON HIS OWN NUMBER.) THE GAME IS

ADVANCED TO PLAYER 3 AND PLAY RESUMES WITH PLAYER 3 ALLOWED TO THROW

HIS FULL COMPLEMENT OF 3 DARTS ON HIS TURN.

      B. IF A PLAYER HAS THROWN ALL 3 DARTS ON HIS OPPONENTS NUMBER BEFORE

THE INFRACTION IS NOTICED, THAT PLAYER PLAYER HAS COMPLETED HIS TURN AND THE

MACHINE IS ADVANCED TO THE PROPER POSITION AND THE GAME RESUMES.

      C. IF A PLAYER THROWS OUT OF TURN AND ENDS THE GAME ON THAT TURN, HIS

TEAM LOSES THAT GAME.

    16. IF A PLAYER HAS THROWS AND THE MACHINE IS DISPLAYING THE NUMBER OF THAT

PLAYERS PARTNER:

      A. IF A PLAYER HAS THROWN ALL 3 DARTS, HIS TURN IS COMPLETED. THE MACHINE

IS ADVANCED TO THE CORRECT PLAYER POSITION AND PLAY RESUMES, EXCEPT THAT

THE PLAYER THAT CAUSED THE INFRACTION WILL LOSE HIS NEXT TURN.

      B. IF A PLAYER HAS THROWN LESS THAN 3 DARTS WHEN THE INFRACTION IS

NOTICED, THE MACHINE IS ADVANCED TO IT'S CURRENT PLAYER POSITION, AND HE IS

ALLOWED TO THROW THE REMAINDER OF HIS DARTS. THE MACHINE IS THEN

ADVANCED TO THE CORRECT PLAYER POSITION AND PLAY RESUMES, EXCEPT THAT THE

PLAYER THAT CAUSED THE INFRACTION WILL LOSE HIS NEXT TURN.

      F. IF A PLAYER SCORED 2 DARTS AND DOES NOT PUSH THE PLAYER CHANGE

BUTTON BEFORE HE REMOVES HIS DARTS AND SCORES ON HIMSELF, HE LOSES HIS NEXT

ROUND OF DARTS. IF HE PUSHES THE PLAYER CHANGE BUTTON, REMOVES HIS DARTS

TOO SLOW AND SCORES ON HIS OPPONENTS ROUND. THE GAME IS RESET BACK TO HIS

OPPONENTS POSITION AND THE OPPONENT RECEIVES HIS FULL ROUND, PLUS THE EXTRA

SCORE.

    17. IF A MACHINE IS NOT SCORING PROPERLY, THE SCORE CAN BE MANUALLY

MAINTAINED UNTILA TECHNICIAN REPAIRS THE MACHINE.

    18. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PRACTICE ON ANY OPEN BOARDS IN THE LOCATION.

ALL PLAYERS GET TO THROW 3 PRACTICE DARTS BEFORE THEIR MATCH.

    19. IF YOUR DART HITS THE PLAYER CHANGE BUTTON, YOUR TURN IS OVER.

    20. STUCK SEGMENT:

IN CASE OF A STUCK SEGMENT THE OPPOSING PLAYER WILL PULL THE DART TO

UNSTICK THE SEGMENT. THEN THE PLAYER WILL CONTINUE SHOOTING THE

REST OF HIS DARTS.

 

M) FREEZE RULE:

THE FREEZE RULE WILL BE USED IN ALL "01" GAMES

    1. ON YOUR TURN, WHEN FIGURING THE FREEZE RULE, DON'T COUNT YOUR OWN

SCORE. IF YOUR  PARTNERS SCORE IS LOWER THAN OR EQUAL TO, THE COMBINED TOTAL.

OF YOUR OPPONENTS SCORE, YOU MAY GO OUT.

    2. IF YOU GO OUT AND YOUR PARTNERS SCORE IS HIGHER THAN YOUR OPPONENTS

COMBINED SCORES, YOU LOSE THE GAME.

   3. IN THE FREEZE RULE, YOU MAY GO OUT ON A TIE.

 

N) LEAGUE STANDINGS:

    1. THE CRITERIA WILL BE TEAM GAMES WON/LOST PERCENTAGES.

    2. ALL TIES AT THE END OF THE SEASON FOR 1st, 2nd, AND 3rd WILL BE PLAYED OFF AT

A NEUTRAL SITE DETERMINED BY THE LEAGUE COORDINATOR. PLAY OFFS WILL BE

PLAYED OFF THE WEEK AFTER THE END OF THE REGULAR SEASON.

 

DARTS

   

    1. A PLAYER MAY USE THEIR OWN DARTS, IF THEY MEET THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

      A. THEY MUST BE PLASTIC TIP.

      B. FLIGHTS MAY BE ANY LENGTH, AS LONG AS THE ENTIRE DART DOES NOT EXCEED 8
